Yes, there is food, stories and desserts
Growing up in Ghana, food always took centre stage for Joana Yeboah-Acheampong and her siblings, who all pitched in to cook for various gatherings, with recipes borrowed from street vendors on her mother’s request.
After taking a career break from Civil Engineering, to spend time with her young family, she started her own business in 2016, Aftrad Village Kitchen, inspired by her love of food.
She says her most cherished memories are those round the family dining table where both food and stories were shared. And it is her desire to recreate such memories through her brand, sharing flavours from her Ghanaian roots, that gives a “home food” experience and brings Africa to our dining table.
