Meet Jaqueline Lockinger at Vevo.

And save the planet.

Jaqueline Lockinger, Senior Manager of Programming and Editorial for the EU at Vevo.

Born in Germany, Jaqueline Lockinger’s early years were filled with a deep love of music and storytelling.

At age 13, Jaqueline and her family moved to the UK, first to Swindon, then to London.

Navigating a new country, Jaqueline spent her free time reading in the local library and bookshops and attending concerts.

A fascination with narratives led Jaqueline to pursue a Bachelor’s in English and German Literature from the University of Warwick, followed by a Master of Arts in Migration and Diaspora Studies from SOAS University in London.

In 2018, Jaqueline joined Vevo as a Coordinator and progressed to Senior Manager of Programming and Editorial for the European Union.

Beyond her core responsibility for curation and programming in the UK, where Jaqueline expertly navigates the vibrant landscapes of Hip-Hop, R&B, Soul, Dancehall, and the ever-changing Afrobeats / Amapiano scenes, Jaqueline plays a crucial role in defining Vevo’s editorial voice across the EU.

Jaqueline has led innovative content formats like Footnotes, providing deeper insights into music videos, engaging Artist Takeovers that offer unique perspectives, and dynamic social formats designed to connect artists with their fans on a more personal level.

Jaqueline’s strategic vision is also evident in her spearheading of impactful cultural campaigns, such as Vevo’s celebrations of Black History Month, which showcased talent from the UK and the diaspora, including British rapper and singer Wretch 32 and Jamaican artists Sevana, Lila Iké, Spice, Original Koffee, and music legend Bob Marley.

For the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop, Jaqueline demonstrated her commitment to amplifying diverse voices and celebrating significant musical milestones; showcasing British rapper and songwriter Kano, and singer and rapper Ms. Dynamite alongside pioneers Grandmaster Flash, Run-DMC, Salt-N-Pepa, and Queen Latifah.

Jaqueline’s decade of experience in the UK and her upbringing in Germany provide her with a unique cultural perspective that informs her curatorial and editorial decisions, ensuring relevance and resonance with audiences worldwide.
