What is oppression?
What is oppression?
One form of oppression is being invited to the table and then having your brain drained of your original ideas, which are then sold further up the creative chain for money and status.
Original ideas run the world.
So, those with original ideas are often mined for their original ideas.
Get it?
How I deal with this oppression?
I turn these mining sessions into my personal brainstorming sessions. Yes, that’s right, I turn the table and share the start of another idea with those who try to pick my brain, months at a time, and chat it out with them.
By the end, someone will launch the idea.
This does three things:
The other idea gets done, while I stay focus on my real mission.
It lets others know that I am full of original ideas, so I am invited to more tables.
It gives me insight into how it all works to share with everyone.
What is oppression?
Oppression is being asked to work for free when the other person knows they should pay you.
How I deal with this oppression?
I continue to offer up more and more ideas with a budget.
We want the same thing, right?
An equal world.
Well, let’s create that.
What is oppression?
Oppression is being offered a low rate for work that should command a hundred times more.
How I deal with this oppression?
I leave this to time.
What is oppression?
Oppression is being led to believe that there is a glass ceiling.
There are none. Only clouds.
