Walking and Birds

I’ve always loved going on long walks. Since lockdown I’ve been on plenty, but mainly to the shops to pick up supplies and back.
I saw the Flock Together walking group pop-up on WhatsApp one morning last year and thought, “Walking and birds. This is so needed right now.”
Ollie Olanipekun and Nadeem Perera founded Flock Together as a support system for people of colour to come together in nature. The group was setup at a time when, Nadeem says, “our community was in need of a support system. Birdwatching has helped me in many a difficult time and it’s an honour to share it with a group I identify with.”
Read their story in the latest issue, Pitch Creative Talent, and come August, I’m off birdwatching.
