Starting this year, we are going to revisit our Pitch Alumni talent, share updates on their stories and showcase their latest work.

Kicking off the series is multi-award-winning, British-born Ghanaian animation director, illustrator and visual artist, Comfort Arthur.

A Pitch Cool 2019 Alumni, Comfort’s first short film, Black Barbie, has been an international hit, screened at more than 50 film festivals across the world, and winning several awards, including Best Female Director at the Blackstar International Film Festival. Last year, she also published her first picture book under the same title.

Comfort’s latest web series, I'm Living in Ghana Get Me Out of Here, a comedic look at the filmmaker’s life moving from London to Ghana, recently won Best Animation at the Africa Movie Academy Awards 2020.

Watch the first episode on Pitch TV (after membership) and the full series on kweliTV, founded by DeShuna Spencer, Pitch Cool Alumni 2020.
