Award-winning Jamaican screenwriter and director, Kia Moses, was the cover star for Pitch Cool in 2019. It has been great watching her career grow.
Her first short, Flight, co-directed with Adrian McDonald in 2018, is about a Jamaican boy who sets out on a dream, ten times his size, to fly to the moon. The film has won over nineteen international awards, including Best Innovation and Best Directing, and in 2020 was selected for a two-year run on HBO.
Kia became a mum in 2020 and has directed music videos and commercials, including the Digicel National Baby Trials advert, starring sports legend Usain Bolt, and a cast of baby athletes.
She is currently working on her first feature script and a children’s book.
