About reparations, really?
About reparations, really?
Stolen from our motherland.
Ancestors shipped to the Caribbean.
Separated from our people, our families.
Worked to death.
Raped.
Hanged.
Humiliated.
Lost our memories of where we are from.
Then the shackles came off and we were declared “free”.
The enslavers received compensation for loss of earnings, while our people are left with generational trauma.
All these years, those who profited from the transatlantic slave trade, are you still having a think on whether you should compensate us?
Really?
About reparations, let’s set a date for that.
Best wishes,
