The children will create a new world.

On Friday, May 31st, 2024, we woke up for Pitch Futures Creative Jamaica at Negril Primary.

The Pitch Futures Creative Jamaica hybrid creative class was in session with our Pitch Pioneers in person and online.

Kia Moses, Jamaican director, screenwriter, and creative director, shared the trailer from her award-winning short film, Flight, as part of her talk on Storytelling from idea to screen.

Pitch Futures Creative Jamaica students learned about the future of AI and how to create together from Laura Jordan Bambach, co-founder of Uncharted, in her talk on Artificial Intelligence Futures.

Abraham Asefaw, entrepreneur and creative innovator, gave a talk on What is creativity? And shared with the students that we are all creative people, capable of problem solving for the greater good of our societies and planet.

Talks were followed by Creative Art Therapy with problem-solving, a session I led with the students, supported by the Pitch Futures team.

Adrianna, a Pitch Futures student, shared that one of her favourite lessons from the day was learning that creativity could be “an actual job for people.”
