Sundays at 2:30 Storyletters is read by talent and leaders across brands, agencies, production and post, plus makers, founders and creators. Each week I share stories from talent in our industry and comment on subjects close to my heart. Our current series focuses on our latest campaign Why bother about racism?
I am a Jamaican-British immigrant (via America - I lived in D.C.) and can communicate using five different accents and dialects. I will be writing our storyletters and newsletters in my version of Standard English, South-London Street, Jamaican Patois, East-London Cockney and Americanese, with a little bit of Rastafarian thrown in.
To help those who may not understand some of the words and phrases that I use, I will be adding these to the Pitch Storyletter Dictionary below each week when relevant.

bly - a Rastafarian word meaning to ‘give someone a chance’.

Triggering - causing someone emotional distress, typically as a result of arousing feelings or memories associated with a particular traumatic experience.
Sensimilla - is a highly concentrated type of cannabis.

Resident Alien card – These are issued in America to new immigrants entering the country for the first time to reside there.
