Jess Kohl is an award-winning British filmmaker and photographer. The work she creates, in her distinctive style, is intensely intimate and emotional, covering subjects like marginalization, youth and gender around the world. Interested in the people who exist on the fringes of society, Kohl, signed to production company Prettybird, is always interested in the narrative behind the image as well as the culture and community that underpins her subjects. Her talent for capturing these stories has led her to work with clients like Facebook, Tinder and VSCO as well as publications like Dazed and The Face. She was recently an artist in residence at ShowDesk in Naples and is currently working on her next documentary.
