Dan Dewsbury is an award-winning British documentary director. Starting out on the BBC traineeship scheme, he worked on programmes like Storyville, Wonderland and Louis Theroux, before getting his break on The Detectives and Hospital. He is interested in showcasing marginalised communities in his work and his role as series director on the recent docu-series The Mighty Redcar explores the inequality of opportunities to youth in the North-East of England. Last year Dewsbury, who is signed to 2AM, was selected as one of BAFTA’s Breakthrough Brits for 2019 and won the prestigious Royal Television Society Award for Best Broadcast Factual Production for The Mighty Redcar.
