Thank you Ana Balarin and Hermeti Balarin, Partners at Mother, for awarding me this year’s Creative Circle’s President Award. 

I proudly said to a friend once that I usually say no to being nominated for awards, because I really don’t need to be praised for the work that I do - I’m just doing what I love. She looked straight at me and said: “That’s a bit silly Sherry Collins!” 

I’m glad she gave me that talking to.

Of course it’s lovely to get recognised. It does feel great, although what really give me belly tingles is promoting others. Nothing makes me happier than when I receive an email from someone who didn’t expect to be recognised. I’m glad to make their day.
